'Live your life' - What Gugu Zulu taught AKA

The death of rally driver and TV personality Gugu Zulu has shocked the nation and caused many to reflect on life and the value of it. One of those is rapper AKA.

The rapper joined thousands of South Africans in paying tribute to Zulu, after the rally driver's death early on Monday morning during a Trek4Mandela expedition on Mount Kilmanjaro. Zulu had been suffering from flu-like symptoms and breathing problems before being rushed to hospital.

Taking to Twitter following news of Zulu's death, AKA reflected on the star's life and the lesson it's taught him.

"Gugu Zulu's life demonstrates that you should live yours to the fullest," AKA tweeted on Monday, before explaining that  "life is way to unpredictable and way too short to spend your time worrying about what others may think of you."

To demonstrate this, he noted how the public sentiment towards his relationship with Bonang has shifted over the last year.

Zulu was a much-loved personality that often excited with his tales of adventure. AKA believes that we should all learn from Zulu's example and seize every moment.
