One of South Africa’s leading DJs Miss Pru has poured cold water over rumours that artists are being mistreated at her record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment.

Speaking to Zkhiphani, Miss Pru revealed that she often feels at home when she's with the people from the record label, labelling mistreatment rumours as "hogwash."

"We don't get mistreated at all," she told the local entertainment site.

"Obviously, we all have our one or two small things, but it's not something as big as what they wrote in the papers."

It was reported in May that Emtee and Fifi Cooper, who are also part of the same stable, were revolting against Ambitiouz Records owner Kgosi Mahumapelo after he allegedly seized their Metro FM awards statuettes and kept them in his office. It was also alleged that Emtee was angry with Kgosi for paying him and Fifi the same amount of bonuses in December, as he believed he raked in more money in gigs than her.

Soon after, speculations started swirling that artists signed to the record label were not taken good care of.

"We laughed so hard as a team at what they had written, and it just made us stronger as a team," Miss Pru explained.

Emtee also denied the claims at the 2016 SAMAs, saying that the reports were just not true.
