It seems gospel star Rebecca Malope is hard at work, tying up the loose ends of her upcoming musical theatre production, Angingedwa - This Is My Story. Now with auditions underway, Rebecca and Artistry Talent Management hope to pull in a cast that will best the tell story of her life.

According to a poster she shared on Twitter, the gospel stalwart will be holding auditions for actors and singers, aged between 8 - 45 years old to star in her musical production, which will be staged for the first time on 3 December 2016 at  the Big Top Arena of Carnival City, east of Johannesburg.

The casting takes place on 14 and 15 August, from 10am to 3pm, at Downtown Studios in Johannesburg.

Speaking to Sowetan recently, Rebecca revealed that she will be playing the current version of herself in the musical, because she knew her story better than anyone else.

"In the play I will be performing the current version of myself. We are still going to visit all nine provinces in search of a young talented girl that will be playing the younger version of me," she told the local publication.

After three decades of releasing 36 chart-breaking albums‚ winning copious awards‚ selling millions of copies‚ and gaining legions of fans in South Africa and across the world‚ Rebecca has certainly scaled the highest levels of success as one of the biggest selling musicians in the country.
