It's been nearly a year and a half since South Africa bid farewell to Skwatta Kamp rapper Nkululeko "Flabba" Habedi, but those close to him feel the pain every day.

HHP who was part of Flabba's inner circle misses his friend on the daily.

They say that the midnight hour is filled with silence to reflect on the people who are most important in your world and what they mean to you.

That must have been the case for rapper HHP, who took to Instagram in the early hours of Tuesday morning to remember his late friend.

  •

Flabba had re-visited Flabba's Twitter page and noticed that the two still followed each other.

Touched by this, HHP told fans that it filled him with comfort.

"I felt some kind of warmth when I went to Flabba's twitter page and saw he still follows me," he said.

He also reflected on how Flabba would often refer to himself as the "Mayor of Gomora" and concluded his small, but touching, tribute by referring to him as the "Forever Mayor of Gomorath" and wishing for his friend to "rest in beats."

Flabba was stabbed to death by his girlfriend Sindisiwe Manqele in his Alexandra home in March 2015, sending shockwaves across the country. His memory has been preserved through several musical projects, including a song by the rapper's protégé Jovislash released in March.
