Fans and celebrities flooded social media with messages of support and congratulations to Touch as the channel, called TouchCentral, finally went live for the first time this morning.
The channel kicked off with Tbo Touch and Gareth Cliff sharing the mic. Tbo is expected to host his first show on Thursday afternoon when he hosts his popular The Touchdown radio show for the first time since moving from Metro FM in June.
TV and radio personalities Anele Mdoda, Hulisani Ravele and Maps Maponyane were just some of the famous names who were listening to the channel's first broadcast, and tweeted their support for Touch and the channel.
South Africans have no doubt been curious to hear what the channel would sound like, ever since Touch announced the project last month.
But any concerns about it seemed to fade quickly, as users rushed to give it the thumbs up. Making it one of them most talked about topics on Twitter.
