There's a ring! But Nomzamo is NOT engaged

Nomzamo Mbatha has always been shy to talk about, or even show off, her love life. So fans were shocked this week when they spotted the actress sporting a fancy looking engagement ring on one of the snaps on her Instagram page.
It was all too much for excited fans, who had only recently had their suspicions of a romance between Nomzamo and Maps Maponyane confirmed. They bombarded the comments section with messages of congratulations and dozens of engagement ring emojis.
But, sit down, because here comes the bad news: it turns out that Nomzamo and Maps are NOT engaged and the star was simply "in character".
Speaking to TshisaLIVE on Wednesday, Nomzamo laughed off the speculation and said that she was on the set of isiBaya at the time that the picture was taken.
"I'm not engaged. I was just still in character," Nomzamo simply told us.
Of course, Nomzamo has been engaged before. But opening up about that engagement recently, she was adamant that she would never do it again.
"I have been engaged. Yes, I have had a rock on my finger, and I don't plan on having a rock on my finger ever again," she said in a TV interview with Expresso in June.
But Maps is not counting out the possibility of marriage. He told DJ Sbu in an interview just a month later that "you never know (what could happen)".
Well, if Nomzamo ever changes her mind, at least we know she has her wedding dance down.
