Boity lashes out at policemen: 'Vile, blood-hungry savages'

TV personality Boity Thulo has added her voice to the ongoing debate surrounding the violent stand-offs between police and protesting students that has captured the nation.

The #FeesMustFall protests have hogged headlines over the past month with violent clashes with police taking centre stage.

Stand-offs between police and protesters have sparked widespread anger among people, who have lambasted the police's heavy-handed tactics.

Adding her voice to thousands of people who have expressed anger is Boity Thulo.

Taking to social media Boity lashed out police officers labelling them "savages".

"This is so dark!!!! These are not policemen!!! These are vile, blood-hungry savages!!!," Boity tweeted.

Boity's comments come in the wake of Wits student leader Mcebo Dlamini being denied bail after being arrested by police during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mcebo is facing charges that include assaulting a police officer, theft and damage to property.
