Loliwe hitmaker Zahara is reportedly looking into suing True Love magazine for R3 million in damages over its January cover, which the singer has labelled "tasteless" and "misleading."

According to Sowetan, Zahara plans to go full steam ahead with her lawsuit against the publication for associating her name with drugs on its latest cover.

The songstress apparently confirmed to the publication that she would be suing for reputational damage for an amount of R3 million.

"I was paging through the file yesterday and she is suing for defamation of character. Our office was closed for the festive season and we will be opening next Monday and that is when the matter will be taken forth with True Love being contacted," a member of Zahara's legal team apparently told the paper.

In December Zahara took to social media to lambaste True Love over its latest cover, which she is featured on. The songstress was left fuming after its cover line associated her name with drugs.

"Zahara: marriage, drugs and selling records," reads the cover line.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE at the time, an infuriated Zahara called for every copy of the magazine to be recalled.

"If they don't recall this cover today, I will be left with no choice but to take legal action against them. I'm going out this morning to look for magazines and if I find them, I will sue," she said at the time.

Zahara also vented her anger on social media. "I honestly hope this is a sick joke from @truelovemagazine, how dare they put this type of headline on their cover! Why associate me with drugs?? This is an utterly tasteless and misleading caption!" she said.

True Love has not yet made any comment on the matter and is unavailable for comment.
