Emotions ran high at the memorial service for gospel star Lundi Tyamara on Tuesday afternoon.

Friends and family gathered at the Grace Bible Church in Soweto to pay tribute to Lundi.

He died on Friday after being in and out of hospital for nearly two months. He was diagnosed with stomach TB and liver complications.

Lundi's longtime friend and mentor Rebecca Malope broke down while paying tribute to him through song.
