Yaass! Could Bongo Maffin's Speedy be joining US drama NCIS?

Rapper and actor Speedy could be the latest acting export to find fame on American TV.

Speedy, whose real name is Harold Matlhaku, has been spotted on the set of hit American TV drama series NCIS: New Orleans, leading to speculation that he will soon appear on the third season of the show.

Speedy first hinted at a possible role when he uploaded a series of snaps showing himself on set.

The actor, who is best known for his role as Deep in the SABC1 drama series Gaz'lam, then shut up his haters with snaps and videos of himself with the cast and producers.

He later added a video with one of the show's writers, encouraging South Africans to watch the episode they were filming.

There has been no official comment from the show about Speedy's role and several attempts to contact him were unsuccessful.
