JR is a master at spitting lines so when it comes to issues affecting South Africans, you can bet he has an opinion. He has taken aim at government saying that while opportunities where created for black South Africans, the 'how to' part was neglected.

The rapper began the debate by referencing a passage in the US Declaration of Independence where the pursuit of happiness is defined.

He said that he agreed with the lines "freely pursue and enjoy life in a way that makes you happy" and pointed out that this is where South Africans have failed.
