She told TshisaLIVE that she is not afraid of explaining her choice to people and particularly her children.

"I am raising girl children. My oldest is six and the other is just over 10 months, I know that at the moment they don't question my lifestyle. They are still "playing along" but one day they will ask and I will be ready," she said.

Their reality show Uthando Nes'thembu has introduced Mzansi to the Mseleku's who are navigating a polygamous family dynamic in front of the whole nation. Mbali explained that she will break it down for her children and teach them that her lifestyle boils down to love, choice and time.

She said she has been "practising" since she made her choice because she's often confronted with women who "need" such advice.

"Sometimes women stop and ask me why or how I do it. They are baffled that I am fourth wife but when I try to explain it to them I always make sure they know that I made this choice, I love Musa and I get all that I need from our relationship," she explained.

Mbali said she knows the time will come when she needs to sit her daughters down and explain "why they have four mothers instead of one like their friends".

"I will just have to be truthful with them and tell them what lead me to my choice of a lifestyle. Then I'll ask them to always put themselves first when faced with [such] life-changing decisions," she said.
