Cancellation and refund policy

When you cancel your digital subscription, you cancel only future charges associated with that subscription. You may notify us of your intent to cancel at any time by contacting us on Tel: 0860 52 52 00 or helpdesk@timeslive.co.za. The cancellation will then become effective at the end of your current billing period. 

For monthly recurring subscriptions, you will not receive a refund for the current billing cycle. You will continue to have the same access to your product and any associated benefits for the remainder of the current billing period (usually the end of the month when the subscription was cancelled).

Cancellations for six- and 12-month subscriptions (one-off payments or EFTs) made within the first seven days of the subscription will be refunded, minus the costs of the portion of the subscription that was already fulfilled.

We reserve the right to issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion. If we issue a refund or credit, we are under no obligation to issue the same or a similar refund in future.

Refunds may be processed for the following reasons:

• duplicate payments/subscriptions;
• payments made in error; and
• subscription cancellations due to affordability, delivery or customer service complaints, illness/death etc.

Documents required for refunding a subscriber:

• confirmation of your banking details on an official document not older than three months (a bank statement, bank-stamped letter or cancelled cheque); and
• if deceased, a copy of the death certificate and estate late banking details.

Refunds are usually processed within five working days, depending on your bank’s processing time.
