With her navy-blue Balenciaga dress and matching Christian Louboutin stilettos, actress Lee-Anne Summers is ready to take on the Wags this week.

The South African film actress had a slight worry about her wardrobe ahead of her lunch date with the likes of fashionista Coleen Rooney and other wives and girlfriends of the England soccer team.

"I might freeze, but I'll freeze in the name of fashion," she said.

Summers said her favourite Wag was Rooney, wife of Manchester United and England football star Wayne and a TV presenter and columnist.

Summers' second favourite is Victoria Beckham, wife of David, but she did not know whether she would have the opportunity to meet the former Spice Girl.

"I'm not sure if Victoria will be attending lunch with the rest of the Wags, but I would love to meet her," she said

Summers has been partying up a storm with the international jet-set during the soccer tournament. It started a week before kick-off with a dinner with singer Akon at Cape Town's Westin Grand Hotel the day before his concert, which she attended.

"Akon is really, really cool," Summers said.

Two days later, she flew back to Johannesburg and attended a cocktail party at the Westcliff Hotel, where she met film star John Travolta, former South African talk-show host Felicia Mabuza-Suttle and businesswoman Basetsana Kumalo.

"Travolta and I had a bit of a chat. He has been a huge influence in my life, and I have always looked up to him," Summers said "He is such a nice guy. He's so down-to-earth and so friendly. He has time for everyone."

For the opening match of the World Cup, Summers took footballer friend Ryan Botha along.

"I needed someone to explain the finer points of the game to me. Taking Ryan along worked very well," she said.

After watching the England-

Algeria match in Cape Town on Friday, she danced the rest of the night away to the mixes of English DJ Fat Boy Slim.

But meeting the Wags is a highlight. "I cannot wait for our lunch date. You know in the UK there is this whole fascination about the Wags, and I hope our meeting will be worth it," she said.

Summers will attend the final match at Soccer City.

Although she has not had a good night's sleep since the World Cup started, she said that it was worth it.

"The World Cup is only going to happen once in my country so I have to make the best of it."

And there will be no rest for her afterwards either as she is set to shoot three films - two local and one international - next month.
