Twitter wages war on Dineo Ranaka after 'rude' matric dance dress snub TV personality and motivational speaker Dineo Ranaka made a spectacular return to the world of Twitter wars on Thursday night when she was taken to task for her response to one fan's plea for a matric farewell dress.
Dozens of Twitter users reacted to the response by calling Dineo out, describing her as "rude" and labelling the comment "unnecessary."
But as Dineo stood up to the criticism, she soon found herself flooded with messages of hate and ridicule. Soon, the whole situation topped the Twitter trends list with Dineo becoming the talk of the (Twitter) town.

She continued to stand by her stance that young girls should be more concerned with their grades than their matric farewell dress, even starting her own hashtag urging the girl who asked her to pass matric #passmatricmissmnisiLet them let me live... This too shall pass never enough characters on Twitter to have a mature convo https://t.co/clogEtMShq
