South African poet and musician Nomsa Mazwai had to delay her recent trip to Ghana over xenophobic fears.

Speaking to Drum recently, Nomsa revealed that she was set to jet off to Ghana to star in a music video with popular Ghaniana artist M.anifest but that she ran into visa problems trying to get into the country.

"They don't want us there because of xenophobia, so they make their visa regulations tough so that we don't enter their country," Nomsa told the magazine.

But luckily, she was finally able to sort her visa out and still feature in the music video for the pair's new single Crooked Cupid Bow.

The video was shot on location in Accra and was released late last week. It features Nomsa wearing her trademark face paint, as she sings passionately in Zulu.

The outspoken sister of Ntsiki and Thandiswa Mazwai is currently working on new material and has repeatedly promised fans that an album will follow soon.
