Nadia Nakai is now part of DJ Zinhle's blended family after the death of her boyfriend, rapper AKA, and while they are still grieving they have been spending quality time together.

Kiernan “AKA” Forbes was shot dead on February 10. His murder is still under investigation.

AKA's father Tony, mother Lynn, grandmother, girlfriend Nadia Nakai, as well as ex-girlfriend and mother of the late rapper's child, DJ Zinhle, recently shared images from their time out together as a family.

“What is Collateral Beauty? The very idea of collateral beauty is that no matter how dark or how difficult the time is, there is something beautiful that is happening right there. You just have to look,” Nadia captioned her post.

In a recent Instagram Live, DJ Zinhle said she kept a close relationship with Nadia and AKA's family even after the rapper's death because she knew they needed each other for support.

“My biggest role, even though I have my own heart of losing the father of my child, my biggest role is to support Kairo and as much as I'd love to please everyone else in this country, I don't ever want there to be a time where Kairo can say I didn't say anything about her dad ... As long as my husband is OK with how I'm grieving, then I don't have to explain myself to anyone.

“I'm grieving and it's OK, and it's not just Kairo. There's Nadia, there's Lynn, there's a lot of people and we all have to support each other. We had a strong family bond ... now that Kiernan has died, I'm supposed to act like I never knew the guy?”
