Seasoned actress Manaka Ranaka is ready to exchange blows in the ring with exotic dancer and reality TV star Zodwa Wabantu.

The Generations: The Legacy star shared a clip challenging Zodwa to a boxing match.

"@zodwalibram laaaaaaaaaleeeeel. Skhokhorinko angijimi and angikusabi shem! I'm challenging you kwi #InfinityBoxing Ps: Ngaku trapa la, ngiyohamba nale bobodlwani lakho elidla amaRiceCrispies,” she wrote.

Zodwa headed to her own Instagram timeline, accepting the challenge.

Zodwa was initially billed to fight Khanyi Mbau at the Ridge Hotel in Mpumalanga on October 22.

Sowetan spoke to promoter Arnold “Squire” Nododile, whose Infinity International Boxing was to stage the match.

“This will be the first female celebrity exhibition boxing match in the African continent since such fights have become part and parcels of the evolution of boxing around the globe,” Nododile, who acquired a promoter's licence with BSA three months ago, told the publication.

Though Zodwa confirmed she would participate, Khanyi denied  being part of the match

“It’s been a long time coming. I can’t wait to set my foot in the ring. Infinity International Boxing has made it possible,” wrote Zodwa on Instagram.

“No, admin. It’s a lie. I’m not doing any fight with Zodwa mina. I’m a lady. Why would I do that? My brand wouldn’t allow me to do such,” she told Maphepha Ndaba.

The sports, arts and culture department in Mpumalanga said it was not happy with  Nododile, whose company advertised a poster using the department’s logo.

“We are not sure how they got our logo and used it without our permission. We are not happy about this.

“They came to us with a presentation with dates and set deadlines and we told them it does not work like that. We have processes they must follow to apply for the funding,” said director of sports and recreation Bhutini Ngoma.
