Gaunt and pale, the strain of her marital problems appears to be taking a big toll on actress Demi Moore.

Moore, 48, appeared at a film premiere on Monday night looking shockingly skinny. Her bold red dress did little to detract attention from her thin frame as she posed on the red carpet alongside Kevin Spacey and Paul Bettany for the film Margin Call.

Moore, a once curvy star, appears to have shed many kilograms since her much younger husband, Ashton Kutcher, 33, slept with a Texan model on the morning of their sixth wedding anniversary.

Sara Leal, 22, claimed she had sex with Kutcher twice in his hotel suite in San Diego after frolicking naked with him in a Jacuzzi.

Kutcher reportedly told Leal that he and Moore were separated before they began their two-hour sex session.

Britain's The Sun reported that Leal also revealed that the actor congratulated himself on his conquest before she left, saying: "The last thing I remember him saying was he did a good job.

"We woke up and I was wearing a robe. He opened it up and I was like, 'What are you doing?' He was like, 'Just checking. Okay, I did good! You're really pretty'."

Earlier this month, Kutcher and Moore went on a camping trip with two advisers from the Kaballah religion in an attempt to patch up their marriage.

They were married in a Los Angeles Kabbalah centre in 2005 after dating for two years.

Moore was married to Bruce Willis for 13 years and they had three daughters together.

Kutcher recently replaced Charlie Sheen in the hit US sitcom Two And A Half Men.

It was reported last week that Moore took legal advice about ending her marriage and splitting the couple's joint assets estimated at R2.5-billion.
