WATCH: Jason Goliath relives the time he choked Zuraida Jardine

Jason Goliath was once forced to suffocate TV personality Zuraida Jardine during an audition for Idols, the comedian has revealed.

Jason recently welcomed Zuraida as a guest on his late-night TV talk show Larger Than Life with Jason Goliath where the pair reflected on their long-history in the entertainment industry.

But after the pleasantries were done, the conversation took a seriously weird turn.

Reflecting on the first time the pair had met, Jason revealed that they both had auditioned for the presenting gig on Idols, only for the director to ask him to strangle Zuraida.

"I feel like I'm one of very few men that has been able to choke Zuraida Jardine. We went for the first ever auditions of Idols SA. We were both part of the group that were called back. I was the guy that was alongside you ...and the two of us had to do a read together," Jason remembers.

That was when the director turned to Jason with the strange demand.

"The director at the time said 'it's a little flat. Choke her!' and I said 'But what do you mean choke her?' and you were very very ready to be choked...you were not shy to be choked at all" Jason added.
