Kwaito star Brickz allegedly threatened to kill rape accuser: report

Kwaito star Brickz allegedly threatened to kill his 16-year-old rape accuser if she spoke out, according to a report.

City Press said that Brickz’s wife, Nqobile Ndlovu, was the one who reported him to the police, and she has since moved out of the house.

According to the report, police and prosecutors will oppose bail for Brickz on Tuesday on the grounds that he may intimidate witnesses.

The girl spent a lot of time in the home of Brickz and his wife, according to a source close to the investigation, and she was reportedly troubled after the incident.

Ndlovu, after many attempts to get the girl to reveal what was troubling her, gave her pen and paper, asking her to write down what had happened, which she did without revealing her alleged rapist’s name.

The official said Ndlovu then wrote down the names of possible perpetrators with Brickz’s name on top of the list and asked the girl to make a mark next to a name. “The girl ticked Brickz’s name,” said the official.

Ndlovu then informed the girl’s father and they met at the Honeydew Police Station, where they opened a case of rape against the musician.

Ndlovu did not respond to phone calls and SMSes, said the report.

The National Prosecuting Authority’s South Gauteng spokesperson, Phindi Louw, declined to comment to the newspaper.
