Plane crash near Mossel Bay claims one life

A man died when his light aircraft crashed in a game reserve near Mossel Bay in the Western Cape on Wednesday morning. Emergency services found the wrecked aircraft in the bushes in the Herbersdale area.A trail of debris led to the wreckage from where the plane crashed into the ground. It appears to have slid for some distance.After a search was conducted‚ paramedics found the pilot’s body lying a distance away from the aircraft. Unfortunately‚ there was nothing that could be done for the man‚ who had already succumbed to his multiple fatal injuries. He was declared dead on the scene.Early on Wednesday morning paramedics responded to reports of another light aircraft crash in Midrand‚ north of Johannesburg.Two men‚ believed to be in their early 30s‚ were found walking around the scene with only minor injuries.The small aircraft they had been travelling in was lying upside down in an open veld near the airport.
