Two wounded in yet another Cape Town club shooting

Police are investigating a shooting at a club in central Cape Town that left two people wounded.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana said: “According to information‚ two unidentified persons – a man and a woman - were shot and wounded.” Two attempted murder cases have been opened. No arrests have been made.

The violence occurred just before midnight on Thursday on the corner of Loop and Hout streets‚ focusing the spotlight on the alleged turf war in the club security business.

Just last month‚ three people were shot at an upmarket club in Camps Bay. Three people were arrested but the State withdrew its case.
