East London community policing forum chairman's house in grenade attack

A house belonging to the chairman of the Duncan Village community policing forum Ludumo Salman was bombed on Sunday night. East London police spokeswoman Warrant Officer Hazel Mqala said the unknown assailants threw a hand grenade at the house.The explosion at 11.06pm damaged walls and windows of Salman’s house‚ and those of two neighbours.Salman - who was in the house with his wife‚ a seven-month-old daughter‚ his mother‚ sister and his brother-in-law - said he was baffled by the attack.Mqala said it was fortunate that no one was injured.She said a case of attempted murder was opened for investigation.There have been no arrest as yet‚ she said. -RDM News Wire, Daily Dispatch..
