Western Cape police seek missing mother and children

The South African Police Service in the Western Cape have asked for help tracking down a mother who disappeared with her three children - aged 6‚ 8 and 11 - following allegations that the minors were sexually violated. According to a statement‚ the Family Violence‚ Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit “were notified about alleged sexual violations that included three minor children‚ at a known guest house in Cape Town”.Medical examinations on the children “revealed that there were possible signs of sexual violations present”‚ and when these “results were made known to the mother‚ she disappeared” with her offspring.The mother – identified as 37-year-old Shanaaz Shaik - is believed to have been on her way to Durban with the children on Friday‚ December 18.Information should be passed on to the investigation officer‚ Sergeant Sharon Appany‚ on 021 467 6002 or 082 522 1084...
