Water stoppages in Roodepoort‚ Emmarentia‚ Parktown and Greenside
Johannesburg Water announced on Tuesday that there would be an emergency interruption of water services in large parts of Roodepoort. Planned interruptions would also take place in Emmarentia‚ Parktown‚ and parts of Greenside.The areas in Roodepoort will be without water from 8pm on Tuesday to 6am on Wednesday.Emmarentia‚ Parktown‚ and the Greenside areas were to be without water from 7am to 7pm on Tuesday. The planned interruption was first announced on 15 January‚ giving residents advanced notice to make alternative arrangements.The 10-hour emergency shutdown in Roodepoort is being effected because of repairs to the main supply on Christiaan de Wet Street‚ corner Erasmus.Suburbs affected include Strubensvallei‚ Littlefalls‚ Wilgeheuwel‚ Amarosa‚ Aanwins‚ Haveston‚ Ruimsig‚Tresjolie‚ Zonnehoewe‚ Poortview‚ Willowbrook estate and Honeydew.Residents in both regions will need to make their own arrangements for water‚ as no alternatives have been provided...
