Too many drips in charge

10 March 2016 - 02:32 By MG Stevenson, Durban

Articles in The Times over the past two days regarding water restrictions in Durban prove two things. First, the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing when it comes to cut-offs and restrictions.Second, the drought had been forecast, but only now when we are looking at a crisis do the government and the municipalities start to react.Having written to Umgeni Water and a local newspaper and received no response from either, I want to know what the water in the fairly full Nagel and Inanda dams is being used for? I support the need to save water and my dead lawn is evidence of my commitment, but can the relevant people please make some decisions and carry them out? ..
