Almost two years after a Sandton police crime-scene expert‚ who worked on cases linked to Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir‚ forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan and Rwandan Colonel Patrick Karegeya‚ was arrested‚ he is still to testify in his defeating the ends of justice trial.Constable Tshepiso Thomas Kubyane‚ 33‚ was expected to testify on Friday but the case was postponed for a month because not all the defence witnesses had been called.Magistrate Renier Boshoff gave an order for police witnesses to be subpoenaed to the Alexandra Magistrate's Court. Kubyane faces charges of defeating the ends of justice for allegedly destroying fingerprints he collected from a crime-scene linked to the alleged hit attempt on O'Sullivan and police official Colonel Nkosana “Killer” Ximba. The attempt is said to have been ordered by Krejcir.Kubyane‚ who also faces a charge of illegal possession of a firearm‚ has pleaded not guilty. He discarded the fingerprints because they were of a poor quality‚ saying this is standard police practice.Kubyane's co-accused‚ Albertus Petrus Denysschen‚ 32‚ a clerk at a police evidence store in Linden‚ allegedly gave firearms to Kubyane‚ who did not have a licence for those weapons. The firearms are linked to an armed robbery.Denysschen has pleaded not guilty and has launched a R400 000 civil claim against the National Prosecuting Authority and the South African Police Service for malicious prosecution.Kubyane‚ who is out on bail of R10 000‚ is expected to testify on June 13. - TMG Digital..
