Why aren't there more people like Mama Tony? How is Malema going to handle the Equality Court's hate speech ruling? What can Zuma accomplish in Zimbabwe that previous mediators were unable to? Why are foreigners being brought in to work in a country with such high unemployment figures? Your views on the issues of the day.

On Justice Malala's column 'Meeting the angel of Soweto'

THERE are many people like these, both black and white.

These are the people we have to rebuild our country with. These are the people who need an honest government. One that puts its people first, not a government that steals food off their tables through nepotism and shady deals. - Abidam

THANKS for this uplifting story of a remarkable and selfless person.

We deal with rubbish the rest of the week, so how about finding a story like this for every Monday morning? There are thousands like Mama Tony giving selflessly, and we need to help them. - Pws80

On 'Malema to appeal hate speech verdict'

THE problem with these appeals processes is that the higher up the judiciary ladder you climb, the more ANC cadre deployees you will find, until Malema eventually finds his man. - Phaedioux

On 'Zuma to visit Zimbabwe this week'

TO DO what exactly? Even former president Thabo Mbeki couldn't get the old horse to run a race it did not want to. What is Jacob Zuma going to do with Robert Mugabe? Zuma is too easy a meal for Mugabe. That old man is shrewd, "intelligent" and devilish! - Wonder

On 'Rapists are animals' - Zuma'

I AM so tired of the ANC's crocodile tears. When will they actually get off their fat brains and start doing something? Jacob Zuma takes policing so seriously that he appoints a buffoon - who is more interested in titles than action - to head it.

Then they just stand by and watch the mayhem. B ut I suppose we can all emigrate if we don't like rapists. - Truth still

On 'North Koreans to work on 2010 stadiums'

DO WE not have an oversupply of labourers in South Africa that we need North Koreans to come and take jobs from South African labourers?

Not that I am complaining about it, I'm just having a laugh at another job opportunity for South Africans being taken away from them by the government of their choice. - BWLipstick

On 'Land proposal: Disguised nationalisation'

IN SOUTH Africa, the big farmers (20% of the people involved in farming) produce 80% of the country's food. That means about 12000 farmers produce the food that we buy in the markets and shops.

Areas such as Eastern Cape and northern KwaZulu-Natal produce nothing but subsistence farming without capacity to feed the people outside of their families. Despite the vast areas of good agricultural land in those areas, the people stay poor because land is not properly utilised.

I do not know what to suggest. The government's ideology demands land redistribution but that could lead to starvation for the majority of the people in the country. - Mcritic

On '10 taxi drivers arrested for violence'

WE NEED an updated public transport system. There is plenty of business for all to share in but the taxi industry can't see this.

Why does everything have to be vandalised, don't they realise our hard-earned money has to go back into replacing it? Mind you, this is an industry that pays no taxes, so it contributes nothing to the country. - PeeGee
