The Democratic Party in Tshwane welcomed more than 100 former ANC members into its ranks on Saturday‚ the party’s mayoral candidate for the capital in next year’s local government elections‚ Solly Msimanga said. He said the move by long-time ANC members living in Mapobane was a clear sign that the momentum was firmly with the DA ahead of the local elections.“It is now undeniable that more and more South African’s are awakening to the realisation that progress has stalled in Tshwane‚ and across the rest of the country‚ under the current ANC government‚” Msimanga asserted.Tshwane is one of the so-called ‘big five’ metropolitan municipalities the DA is hoping to win in next year’s local elections.
