The EFF has hit back at a request by Minister Blade Nzimande for confirmation that their leader Julius Malema is studying at Unisa, with a request for confirmation of the president's "studies."
Malema has been enrolled in Unisa since 2011 for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and African languages. according to an IOL report.
He previously attained a two year diploma in youth development.
Zuma meanwhile famously never matriculated.
"Owing to his deprived childhood, Jacob Zuma did not receive any formal schooling," according to the ANC's website.
This isn't the first time that Zuma's lack of educational attainment has been criticised by the party.
“Today, Nigeria is number one economically in Africa because of that ‘domkop’ we have here for a president. The man can’t think. Don’t mistake a big head for a big mind. There are no ideas coming from that man.
“We had too many expectations from a Standard 2 (Grade 4) graduate. We have replaced an economist, Thabo Mbeki, with a Standard 2 graduate,” Malema said last year according to News 24, lamenting the decision to replace Thabo Mbeki with Zuma.
