The Kaizer Chiefs duo of Itumeleng Khune and Eric ‘‘Tower” Mathoho can pack their bags as they are headed to the Rio Olympic Games. Khune and Mathoho were announced as the two overage players who will be part of the SA under-23 squad that is to represent SA at the global showpiece in Brazil next month.Coach Owen da Gama will lean on the experience of the two senior Bafana Bafana players after the under-23s’ participation in the Cosafa Cup in Namibia last month exposed numerous defensive shortcomings. There was furious speculation over the identity of the senior players who are expected to provide the experience needed at the Games and Da Gama felt that the two senior national team stalwarts would be up to the task.Da Gama's charges have a tough assignment on their hands as their Olympic group rivals are hosts Brazil‚ Denmark and Iraq. — TMG Digital..
