HALLOWEEN HOTTIE: Kate Hudson
HALLOWEEN HOTTIE: Kate Hudson

The hottest look for Halloween this year is inspired by Mexico's Day of the Dead.

Achieving the look is simple.

  • Use a sponge to apply a thick layer of make-up that is quite a few shades lighter than your skin to cover your entire face, neck and ears. Leave circles all around the eyes. Make sure they're symmetrical.
  • Leave a lighter section around the tip of the nose.
  • Use a black eye pencil to contour the shape of the eyes and cover the eyelids to make them really dramatic. Blend with a brush to soften the edges.
  • Dab red eyeshadow or lipstick into the edges of the black around the eyes.
  • Add a line of white to the inside line of the eyelid.
  • Draw neat petals around the blackened eye sockets with an eyeliner pencil.
  • Coat the lashes with mascara.
  • Leave the panels of the nose white and outline them, then fill in the bottom half of the nose with black liquid liner.
  • Use a small brush to paint a thin line through the lips. Paint stitches across the line.
  • Use a small brush and red lipstick to fill in the petals and dot the lips to look like blood.
  • Use brown eye shadow in the hollows of the face to look grubby.
