R26,000 parking ticket at Hyde Park

Kimberly Dally will have parking at the Hyde Park Corner shopping centre, Johannesburg for a year - but she had to pay R26,000 for the privilege. Dally bought exclusive rights to a premium parking space on the sixth level of the shopping centre.Supporting the annual breast cancer awareness auction by the Estée Lauder companies, Dally's bid for two parking spaces was the highest. She has forked out R26,000 for the bays. She kept one for herself and donated the other to be re-auctioned at the Lighting Christmas Tree auction later this month.Branded pink and cordoned off, the bay is exclusively hers for the next year. Dally said she was not a regular at the shopping centre but would definitely visit her hairdressers' branch there more often."Fund-raising for breast cancer is very close to my heart. I have lost several family members to it."The auctioning of a parking bay is extremely innovative and I like supporting leading-edge concepts." said Dally...
