If there is one woman has continues to inspire us on a daily basis, it is Letshego Zulu.

She lost her husband Gugu Zulu earlier this year.

Known as the adventure couple, the pair would often take part in extreme sports together. They had a zest for fitness and inspired many.

They were both climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in an attempt to raise funds for girls who don't have money for sanitary pads.

Gugu died from altitude sickness and his wife Letshego ran down the mountain for eight hours in an attempt to save him.

She has made it clear that she will not forget her husband and the father of her child.

In a touching message on Instagram she said it was a privilege to be his first lady.

"As many of you will know, I was married to an optimist of note. The grass could only get greener. The glass half full not half empty. And in his own words "it can only get better". I'm trying hard to tear a page out of his book because that kind of outlook on life is really refreshing."

She said she is determined to be more positive.

"Monday's are particularly hard on me    I'm fragile most part of the day. But from now on I plan to channel my inner Gugu Zulu to turn my "tragic Monday's" into Celebration Mondays. I celebrate the lessons I learnt from this incredibly amazing man. What a pleasure it was to have been his 1st Lady for just over 15yrs."
