You were the first person I saw in the morning and the last person I saw before I slept at night.
I still smile at the rays of your light that touch my life and reflect in me even though a great distance separate us.
Just like a morning star you still shine in my world although now from a distance.
I can still hear your soft humming in the morning as you did your chores.
Although I'm not there with you, I know you still hum your favourite hyms.
My morning star is aging gracefully but its light shines even brighter now.
I pray that I continue to nurture the wisdom that you have imparted to me.
I wish you were with me all the time but I guess I have to learn to stand on my own or else I will never know if I can.
I can hear you saying, "Life is how you make it" I will make you proud that's a promise I won't break.
I bless the Lord at all times for you, more especially today, your birthday.
