Swazi police are currently hunting for the leg of a man who had been killed by a government vehicle on Sunday night.

According to the Times of Swaziland, police have been combing the overgrowth near the road where they believe Vusi Thani's leg could have landed after he was hit by a Ministry of Health vehicle.

Thani had apparently been drinking buganu at a nearby homestead before his death.

His leg was apparently knocked off by the speeding government vehicle when he tried to cross a public road in Croydon.

Thani's death was certified on his arrival at the Dvokolwako Health Centre.

IOL reports that residents believe the leg was stolen by a witch or or witch's customer.

“After so long a time has passed, I don’t think the leg will be found in a bush or up a tree. It has been taken,” a resident of Croydon said.

“I hope an animal took the leg, but our fear is it is being used for muti. A leg is valuable to such people (who make the potion),” he said.
