A Tshwane metro policeman has been arrested in Moria, Limpopo, after telling a pastor that he had killed a colleague, police said.
Lt-Col Tshisikhawe Ndou said the 27-year-old man walked into the Zion Christian Church around 6pm on Tuesday and told the pastor he had killed fellow Tshwane metro police official Claudia Rapodi in Cullinan.
The pastor alerted the police, who arrested the man.
"No formal confession has been made before a magistrate in court at this stage," said Ndou.
Rapodi's charred body was found in the boot of a burnt-out car in Cullinan around 9pm on November 2.
She had been reported missing a couple of days before.
The man was expected to appear in court in Gauteng on Friday.
