Limpopo teacher accused of killing two granted bail

A Limpopo teacher accused of knocking over and killing two primary school pupils was granted bail by the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Thursday, police said.

William Tshwale, 37, a teacher from the Ramabu High School in Dikgale, was granted R2000 bail, Constable Moses Molepo said.

The case was postponed to June 5. Tshwale faces two charges of culpable homicide. He was driving home from work around 3.30pm on Monday when he allegedly struck the children.

Maite Matlala and Karabo Tauyatswala, both seven-years-old, were from the Sebayeng Primary School in Mankweng. They died on the scene.
