Thousands of South African women want a piece of Bonang Matheba, widely known as South Africa's most stylish woman.

So far more than 11000 women have jumped at the chance to literally walk in Matheba's shoes.

Matheba, also known as Queen B, is auctioning 28 items of her clothing, ranging from evening gowns to stilettos, on the classifieds website Gumtree. Bidding closes tomorrow and buyers have to say why they think they should be the one to get the item.

Among the items for sale are a white Gavin Rajah dress she wore to a function at which the UK's Prince Harry was welcomed to South Africa, and a pair of killer purple heels she wore to the J&B Met.

"When I first saw this dress I fell in love with it instantly. This is the dress I would like to wear to my matric dance. It's an opportunity I can't let pass by," wrote one hopeful bidder.

"These are the most stunning shoes in the world. I love all things Bonang and fabulous," said another.

The money raised will go to the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
