Manqele: 'I loaned Flabba money'

Skwatta Kamp band member Nkululeko "Flabba" Habedi was broke and had loaned money from Sindisiwe Manqele‚ his girlfriend‚ the Johannesburg High Court heard on Tuesday. This as Manqele‚ 26‚ who is charged with the murder of rapper Habedi‚ 37‚ testified in her own defence at the Randburg Magistrate's Court.Habedi died of a stab wound to the chest on March 9 at his home in Alexandra‚ Johannesburg.Manqele has pleaded not guilty to the charge and has said that she stabbed Habedi in self-defence.Manqele told the court that Habedi had told her that he was going through a hard time financially.She said he had asked her to loan him some money."I first gave him R200 for petrol and I paid for other stuff‚" she said.The trial continues...
