Flights were back on track at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg after a severe storm caused some disruptions earlier on Monday.

Several flights, both departure and arrival, domestic and international, had been delayed for a short while as the storm made its way through the city.

While some Twitter users had tweeted that the airport was closed due to the weather, OR Tambo International, however, responded on their Twitter page, saying the airport had not been closed.
