Cape Town SA’s congested city

Cape Town has been labelled the most congested city in South Africa. According to the TomTom Traffic Index 2016‚ it is bad news for drivers in Cape Town as they can expect to spend 30% extra travel time stuck in traffic at any time of the day‚ compared to other cities in the country. This‚ the survey said‚ goes up to 64% on a Friday between 4 and 5pm.Johannesburg ranks second with an extra 27% added to travel time because of congestion ‚ followed by East London at 25%‚ Bloemfontein at 16% and Durban with 11%. Mexico City ranked as the most congested city in the world‚ followed by Bangkok and Rio de Janeiro.The survey noted that cities such as Pretoria and Bloemfontein are showing eased traffic congestion levels. – TMG Digital..
