#FeesMustFall infiltrated by criminals‚ says police commissioner

Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Khomotso Phahlane says the Fees Must Fall movement has been infiltrated by criminals. Phahlane said police had focused on conducting a thorough investigation of “some of the crime scenes” with an intention of opening cases."We are doing investigation‚ we are looking at material which is available‚ looking at what people have been saying for us to put together cases we will present before the director of public prosecution to enable us to effect arrests particularly of those found to be committing any crime or unlawful act. "Certainly investigations are underway and intelligence gathering is taking place and arrests are imminent‚” Phahlane said. "We so wish that sense could prevail among leaders of students and not to continue with violence‚" he added...
