A group of men have been arrested for impersonating police officers, after introducing themselves as the Masonic Fraternal Police Department.

According to LA Now three of their members, two of whom were dressed in police uniforms strolled into a Santa Clarita police station as a 'courtesy call'.

One man introduced himself as the local police chief, and said they agency was setting up shop in the area.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Capt. Roosevelt Johnson thought this was odd, and so assigned detectives to check these "officers" out.

David Henry, who told Johnson he was the police chief, Tonette Hayes and Brandon Kiel, an aide to state Attorny General Kamala Harris have now all been arrested.

Claimed links to Knights Templar

"The Masonic Fraternal Organisation is the oldest and most respected organisation in the “World.” Grand Masters around the various states are facing serious safety concerns for their Jurisdictions and their family members. The first Police Department was created by the "Knights Templar's" back in 1100 B.C," according to their website.

The Knights Templar were endorsed by the Roman Catholic Church in 1129 AD, and became one of the richest Christian orders due to their role in Christian finance.

After the 'holy land' was lost, they lost popular support as bankers do, eventually leading to arrests and the orders dissolution in 1312 AD after King Phillip IV of France figured out that torturing false confessions out of people was easier than paying his debts.

Phillip was also known for expelling the Jewish population in 1306 AD, and trying to use his own collectors to collect their loans. This didn't work out terribly well because the Jewish bankers were competent and Phillip's collectors weren't, so he ended up having to ask the Jewish bankers to come back in 1315 AD.

Anyway ever since at least the 18th century, the Freemasons have adopted symbols from the Templars.

"When asked what is the difference between The Masonic Fraternal Police Department and other Police Departments the answer is simple for us. We were here first! We are born into this Organisation our bloodlines go deeper then an application," the 'department's'  website states.
