This comes after Saturday's reported fresh clashes amongst residents over government's Marikana housing project.

The R450 million project has been at the centre of controversy since its inception, after a group of residents questioned the list of beneficiaries, which they allege was manipulated to favour those they say have political ties.

According to khayafm ANC and EFF members have clashed, it's believed they were campaigning, one person died and several others injured in Marikana

ANC chair Supra Mahumapelo has pressed charges against EFF in Marikana, but EFF denies instigating violence.
