It’s not yet over for the controversial Vrede dairy project.

This is the view of former Free State Agriculture head of department Peter Thabethe, who told the state capture inquiry on Tuesday that the project – once a cash cow for the Gupta family – still had the potential to uplift small-scale farmers.
