Donald Trump thinks Oscar Pistorius got off lightly for killing his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, saying the Paralympian’s five-year prison sentence is ‘ridiculous.’
Trump posted a video of himself about the sentencing on Instagram, expressing his anger at the legal system in South Africa.
Pistorius was sentenced to a five-year prison term on Tuesady after being convicted of culpable homicide for the death of Steenkamp.
In terms of Section 276 of the South African Criminal Procedure Act, Pistorius could serve one-sixth of the sentence, which is 10 months – prompting Trump to brand the Pretoria High Court’s ruling ‘ridiculous’ and a ‘disgrace.’
It's clear Trump has no sympathy for the sprinter, implying his punishment should be even harsher considering the brutal way he killed his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp last year.
