Paula Patton files for divorce from Robin Thicke

The estranged wife of singer Robin Thicke has officially called it quits on their nine year marriage after she filed for divorce recently.

Patton separated from Thicke earlier this year, citing irreconcilable differences. At the time, it was believed their split was due to Thicke's wandering eye. He was seen partying with a bevy of beauties in Paris and pictured with his hand up a New York socialite's skirt before Patton opted to separate from him.

According to TMZ, she wants joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old son Julian.  TMZ further reports that as the divorce was filed in L.A., there will be no issues over whether Robin may have strayed and it is a "harmonious" parting.

Thicke has been trying to win Patton back, especially with the release of his new album, Paula. The whole album was an ode to Patton and barely sold well worldwide.
