In a statement released by Mzansi Magic, the station confirmed that they have concluded their investigation into the matter and that one of the crew members involved in the incident has chosen to terminate their contract.

"Mzansi Magic has been informed by Penguin Films that an investigation conducted into the altercation between two independent contractors, on May 10, has been concluded. One of the independent contractors involved opted to terminate their contract," the statement read.

At the same time Mzansi Magic spokesperson Nondumiso Macebe has reassured viewers that filming of the show has continued uninterrupted and that the station is committed to engaging with cast and crew to ensure a "positive and empowering working environment for all involved."

On Tuesday, veteran actress Florence Masebe took to Twitter to lift the lid on the alleged which she described on social media as "horrible."

In a series of tweets she revealed that a crew member had got into an altercation with the show's director and had apparently said "I can speak to you anyway I like because I’m white.". Commenting on the incident, Florence wrote "racism is out here dancing on our set."

The actress has refused to comment further on the matter.
